Marty Brown Performs Christmas Concert at Creekwood Nursing Center in Russellville, KY
Marty Brown Brings Christmas Music and Meaningful Moments to Creekwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
On Saturday, December 6, Creekwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Russellville, Kentucky was filled with the sounds of Christmas and heartfelt country music as acclaimed singer and songwriter Marty Brown delivered a special holiday concert for residents, visitors, and staff.
Known for his rich storytelling and authentic country sound, Marty Brown performed a mix of classic Christmas favorites alongside several of his own well-known songs. The intimate setting created a warm and memorable experience, allowing residents to enjoy live music up close while celebrating the season together.
One of the most touching moments of the afternoon came when Brown performed “To the Moon,” a deeply personal song he wrote in honor of his wife. The song, famously recorded by George Strait, resonated strongly with the audience and drew visible emotion throughout the room, serving as a reminder of the power music has to connect generations and stir cherished memories.
The performance was proudly sponsored by H&H Sheetmetal, whose support helped make the event possible and underscored their ongoing commitment to giving back to the local community.
This special concert was organized by Travis Bryan, a member of Creekwood’s activity department and a longtime friend of Marty Brown. Thanks to Bryan’s efforts and the collaboration between Creekwood staff and H&H Sheetmetal, residents were treated to a meaningful holiday experience that went far beyond entertainment.
Events like this highlight the importance of community partnerships and the role live music can play in enriching the lives of those in long-term care. H&H Sheetmetal extends its appreciation to Marty Brown, Creekwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and everyone involved for creating a Christmas memory that will be remembered long after the final note was played.
